Throughout history, women haven’t been treated the same as men. We had to fight to get the vote, to get access to education, and to be able to work in the same jobs as men. Though women have come far, there’s still plenty of inequality around. This list is packed full of misconceptions about women. Whether it’s our brains, our bodies, our interests, or our priorities — some people have a limited idea about what women are. Warning, there's lots of misogyny ahead!

Bad at Biology

On this list, there are plenty of folks who don't understand how women's bodies work. This is particularly true when it comes to that time of the month. This wise social media user thinks that women can only bleed in one area at a time.

And, more importantly, that they should be "more thankful." We wonder where this person picked up their medical credentials. Or how they think a woman would fare in a serious vehicle collision. Would she simply not bleed?!

In this post, someone shares a conversation they've had with a potential date. Sometimes, it's tough to laugh at these sorts of social media posts. After all, women still endure all sorts of terrible behavior. Firstly, this man has no manners.

He demands that this woman chat with him at a certain time, rather than asking her what suits. Then, when she requests some flexibility, he ends it! We say, good riddance. Listen here - women are people with their own schedules!

Women Are Werewolves

It's time for another body-related misconception. And boy, this one is weird. This Tumblr post tells of a male referee who thought that the full moon would impact female athletes. As the post hilariously says, this guy seems to have confused women for werewolves.

Hopefully, the players didn't start howling at the softball. So, while the word "menses" does come from the Latin and Greek for "month" and "moon," there's no evidence that one controls the other. Science, eh?

Consider Dance Lessons Instead

While we're on the subject of sports, let's check out our next post. This misguided man warns women - or "ladies" - to stick to dancing instead. According to him, sweat isn't for "females." We wonder what he thinks happens during vigorous dancing.
